Doug Stewart - Alto/Tenor Saxophone

Born and raised in Washington, IL, Doug Stewart established himself as a go-to saxophonist in the Peoria area from the age of 17. Doug holds a Bachelors degree in Music Business from Bradley University as well as a Masters of Music in Jazz Studies from the University of Northern Colorado. After his studies, Doug became a full time musician and music manager, traveling the world for Princess Cruise Lines. In addition to performing with JC and The Redemption, he currently spends his time working for Caterpillar Inc, and performing with such notable groups like the Central Illinois Jazz Orchestra, The Water Street Stompers, and leading his own group, the Doug Stewart Quintet. Doug currently resides in Peoria with his girlfriend Alison Brehn and their cats Franklin and Fergus.


Jeff Arbisi - Tenor/Baritone Saxophone

Jeff Arbisi is the Morton High School Jazz Band Director and Director of Jazz Ensembles at Youth Music Illinois. He received his Associate of Arts in music at Illinois Central College, where he studied jazz saxophone under Larry Harms. At Lincoln College, he studied classical and jazz saxophone and clarinet under William Rhoda and received his Bachelor of Arts in Jazz studies in 2015. He is currently the Fine Arts Coordinator for Morton District 709 and the manager of Bertha Frank Performing Arts Center. During the summer months, he directs the Lincoln Area Music Society Summer Band in Lincoln, IL. He is an active performer and has played with such prestigious groups as the Illinois Central Jazz Train and the Central Illinois Jazz Orchestra.

Justin Bainter - Trumpet

​Justin received his Bachelor’s in Music Education from Bradley University and is currently the band director at Limestone Community High School. Prior to his time at Bradley, Justin was a student at Western Illinois University where he toured Europe with their Jazz Studio Orchestra. During his time at WIU, he also performed for two summers with the Madison Scouts Drum & Bugle Corps. He is a sought after performer, serving as a player in the Prairie Wind Ensemble, a brass quintet, as well as JC and The Redemption. He is also a highly-regarded marching band drill designer, music clinician, and private trumpet teacher in the central Illinois area.

Carl Anderson - Trombone

Carl Anderson plays trombone in the horn line for JC and The Redemption. Carl is a commercial trombone player in the Central Illinois area, specializing in traditional jazz from the 20’s and 30's, and has his own 7-piece New Orleans Jazz Band that has just released their third album. He is also the founding member of the 16 piece Central Illinois Jazz Orchestra and has toured Europe with that group. In the past, Carl has performed with the Temptations, the Harry James Orchestra, and the Lawrence Welk All Stars. During the summers, Carl is the principal trombonist for the Peoria Municipal Band. He is also a member of the Prairie Wind Ensemble where he has served as trombonist, soloist, and guest conductor. He has been active in the music business for 27 years. Additionally, Carl is the Instructor In Residence for Bradley University where he teaches the Music Business and Music & Entertainment Industry Degree Programs. When not playing music you can find him underwater as an avid swimmer, scuba diver, and Certified PADI DiveMaster.
